The Director of the Center for Studies and Teaching of the Persian Language at the University of Basra, Professor Maitham Muhammad Saadoun, received a delegation from Ferdowsi University, Mashhad, from the Islamic Republic of Iran, represented by Dr. Shahla Sharifi, Director of the Department of Teaching the Persian Language to Non-Persian Speakers, and Assistant Director of the Department of Culture and Education at the College of Arts at Ferdowsi University, Mashhad.
The delegation was briefed on the center’s work and the services it provides to students, researchers, and professors. The delegation met with a number of university professors and employees participating in the Persian language teaching course. The delegation was also briefed on the teaching methods and clarification tools provided by the center and on the center’s electronic and digital library, which is linked to the Holy Razavi Shrine. The extent of its comprehensiveness and the number of books, research and sources contained in each of the electronic library platforms, which were installed in coordination with the Holy Razavi Shrine.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Sharifi expressed her happiness with the services provided by the center, hoping to expand the work of the center to provide its services to a larger segment of researchers and students of science at their various levels and connections, whether inside or outside the University of Basra.
